Jones Creek has a new Head Gator at Stephen F. Austin STEM Academy! Harland Hoppock has been tabbed as the new principal for Stephen F Austin STEM Academy.
Mr. Hoppock graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science. He received his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Harland began his public school teaching career in Pasadena ISD, where he spent four of his six years at Pasadena High School. In 2006, he moved to Columbia-Brazoria ISD where for seven years he taught Government and Economics, and coached basketball. In 2014 he became an administrator for Columbia-Brazoria ISD. In 2016, Mr. Hoppock came to Brazosport ISD where he has served as an administrator for the last four years. He has two college-aged sons, and his wife, Margaret, is an administrator in BISD as well. During his free time Mr. Hoppock loves to travel, is a hobby woodworker, and enjoys watching baseball.
His experiences at different grade levels make him an ideal candidate for a PreK -6th grade campus.With his vast experiences, great interpersonal skills, and adaptability, Harland Hoppock will be a great fit to lead SFA STEM Academy. His passion for learning, mixed with a great sense of humor and an untiring work ethic, will be great attributes for leading this unique and exciting school.
