Brazosport ISD is excited to announce that Andrea Ham was named principal for Madge Griffith Elementary School by the Board of Trustees at the December 14, 2020 board meeting. Mrs. Ham will begin her duties at Griffith on January 6, 2021. She will be replacing Dr. Karen Matt who accepted the Chief Academic Officer position in Pecos ISD.

Andrea Ham has served as the assistant principal at A.P. Beutel Elementary School for the past three years and has been instrumental in Beutel flourishing as a high performing professional learning community. She has displayed outstanding leadership as an assistant principal. “We are very excited about the leadership capacity Mrs. Ham brings to Madge Griffith,” said BISD Superintendent Danny Massey. “She has been an exceptional assistant principal in Brazosport ISD.”

Prior to joining Brazosport ISD, Ham served as a Special Education Facilitator and Deaf Education Teacher in Fort Bend Independent School District. Ham received her Bachelor of Science degree in Deaf Education and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership both at Stephen F. Austin State University. Mrs. Ham is looking forward to working with the Madge Griffith staff and students, and becoming involved with the parents and community.
