For the first time in school history, the Brazoswood Lady Bucs Volleyball team made the prestigious United States Marine Corps and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award list.
The national academic elite award in it’s 28th year honors volleyball teams with a year-long GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale. Brazoswood made the list as one of the top performers earning Honor Roll status.
Coach Elizabeth Limas shared, “These ladies are very competitive on the court and in the classroom. We are very proud of them. They understand the importance of academics. We have always stressed the importance of being academically sound. Academic success should always take precedence over anything. We have been very fortunate to have kids that really care about their future. We are beyond proud of you all. Great job and way to represent Brazoswood High School. Thank you for your dedication to the program and your academics!”
