Brazosport Senior David Gomez is on his way to the UIL 4A State Cross Country Meet. David claimed the District 25-4A title at the district meet held Thursday, October 29, qualifying him for the Regional Meet held this week in Corpus Christi.
Gomez placed 6th at the regional contest to qualify for his second trip to the state meet.
Joining him at the Texas UIL State Cross Country Meet in the 6A division will be Brazoswood Senior Sam Whitmarsh. Whitmarsh claimed the District 24-6A title at their District Meet held Friday, October 30 and placed 6th in the Regional Meet in Huntsville, Texas.
This will be Whitmarsh’s second trip to the State Meet where he’ll run for a chance at the 6A State Title.
The 4A and 6A state cross country meet will be held on November 24, 2020 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas.
